WSCTA Networking Conference

Richland, Washington – Saturday, February 17, 2018, 9:00 AM

Returning from fun and educational workshops and conferences at American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) gatherings, Anne Spilman (Academy of Children’s Theatre, Richland) and Michael Wutzke (Richland Players) wanted to hold a similar event for community theatre staff, volunteers and advocates in the region. Your WSCTA is proud to help sponsor and coordinate a day of networking and idea sharing about ideas and problem-solving in community theatres.

Join us Saturday, February 17th in Richland! Free for WSCTA members, $10 for others.

Register in advance online at Academy Of Children’s Theatre (click “Purchase Tickets” on the menu. Individual and organizational WSCTA members email us at info(at) for your CODE to register for free). You may also register at the door.

BRING your company flyers, season brochures, operating manuals, questions, good practices, and great ideas!

Join one session or all of them, then attend a local production of Akeelah and the Bee (Academy of Children’s Theatre) or The Merry Wives of Windsor (The Rude Mechanicals).

All sessions will be in a facilitated round-table format of open discussion and sharing.

Kaleidoscope 2019 to be held in Prosser, Washington

Kaleidoscope 2019! Our biennial state community theatre festival will be hosted by The Valley Theatre Company in Prosser February 27 – March 3, 2019. As part of the American Association of Community Theatre’s AACTFest 2019 cycle, Kaleidoscope is the first step in a national festival that will culminate in June 2019 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Our own Tacoma Musical Playhouse took the top honors at AACTFest 2017 and we would love to see a theatre from Washington represented nationally in 2019!

Watch for more details and registration information later this year. If you are planning to bring a production to Kaleidoscope, it’s never too early to start planning!
